I am a freelance journalist and Digital Communications Intern at the Lincolnshire Police.

I graduated with a First Class (BA) Hons in Journalism from the University of Lincoln. My course is fully accredited by the NCTJ, BJTC and PPA.

I am familiar with all aspects of multiplatform journalism, including interviewing, article writing for a target audience, newspaper & magazine design, video & audio editing, photography and website design. I have relevant training in media law and ethical codes of conduct. I have 100wpm shorthand, and I am experienced in court reporting, feature writing and news writing. I am passionate about women’s issues, lifestyle and photography as well as magazine and website design.

Media Experience:

LINCOLNSHIRE POLICE, DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS INTERN. JUNE 2017 – JUNE 2018.
Improving the Force’s online presence and engagement with followers via social media. Collecting and analysing statistics through Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics and Hootsuite Analytics. Pitching, creating and running social media campaigns. Creating content and updating content for the Force’s external website and its intranet. Making design decisions and moving over content to the Force’s new intranet. Taking photos at events to be used on social media/by the graphics department.

MORTONS MEDIA GROUP LTD. 9 – 20 JANUARY 2017.

Interests:

At university, I was Social Secretary for the Feminism Society and a member of both the Photography and Vegan/Vegetarian Society’s. I am interested in politics and social issues, as well as fashion and beauty. In my spare time I enjoy reading, going to the gym and travelling.
